Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

"A promising sign?" asked Alexander. "Should we prepare ourselves for magical gender-swapping pixies?"

"Pictsies? They'd be too drunk to do this."

Re: Room 111

"Or perhaps they're doing it because they're drunk," Alexander countered.

"...that would make sense." Damn you, Alexander!

"And people suggest blonde are dumb."

Still weird, yes, but that didn't mean he couldn't have fun with it. Especially since he was likely stuck with it for a little bit.

"Why would they assume that?" Because clearly it was gingers who are dumb.

Goddamn gingers.

No, no, no. Gingers had no souls. That was different than having no brains.

But Alexander could only shrug. "I'm actually not sure, to be honest. It's just one of those things people assume, I believe. Like vampires sucking blood."

"But they do." A beat. "If they're not Black Ribboners."

"But that's the point," Alexander said. "Some blondes are not too terribly smart, either."

Maladicta gave him a careful once over. "Yes, I suppose I can see that."

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] daventryprince.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
True, Maladicta had superhuman reflexes and would probably be able to avoid, if not catch, it, but that did not mean she was any less deserving of having a pillow thrown at her right now.

"I never said anything about you!" she insisted with a grin, grabbing the pillow before it could hit.

"You may not have," said Alexander, "but your eyes are a different story!"

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Now you read my eyes?" Maladicta asked, tossing the pillow back at him.

"They're very expressive, you know," Alexander did a little better job of catching the pillow than he had the pants, but it had gotten a faint little girlish oof out of him. "Even when not lined with such long, feminine lashes."

"No, that's your eyes now. Lovely as they are," Maladicta replied with an over exaggerated leer.

Alexander may have had to bat those baby blues for a second before sending the pillow back at Maladicta. "Watch yourself," he warned, trying not to laugh, "that's my sister you're talking about!"

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Once again it was caught. Because she was still a Sue, damn it. "Your sister who will want to stake me?"

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] daventryprince.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Every chance she gets," Alexander had to admit, picturing it again all too vividly in her head. Even after Alexander kept turning Maladicta back, Rosella would probably just keep doing it because she could. "Luckily for you, I'm the much gentler of the two of us."

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] daventryprince.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"I thought it already was."

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"...alright, that's true."

Re: Room 111

[identity profile] daventryprince.livejournal.com 2010-10-17 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"My insufferable logic again," Alexander grinned, shaking his head, and then smoothing out his new clothing. "Well, let us not waste the morning too much with our witty banter and throwing of pillows. I'm sure there are many interesting things to see outside..."
