Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

It was also in a decidedly lower voice.

Faramir was still half asleep when he sat at the edge of his bed. He leaned his elbows on his knees, waiting to fully wake up, when something struck him as odd.

One look down and... Very odd. Perhaps he was not fully awake yet.

He got up and quietly padded to the bathroom as to not wake up his roommate, switched on the light and blinked at his reflection in the mirror.

And here he was thinking the oddness would only happen in Fandom.

Bruce had actually been trying to sleep in today, but with all (http://ft-directory.livejournal.com/70641.html?thread=67313#t67313) the yelling from next door, it wasn't going to happen.

Once he was conscious, it didn't take long for Bruce to realize that certain things were missing while certain other things were now there. It seemed as though this was not a dream. Not an imaginary story, either.

Well, this was another one for his black casebook.

Well.

Waking up was a typically slow process for Alex. It meant realization didn't come immediately. It took time and effort on his part. It actually took Alex a good few seconds to realize he was smaller, curvier in places where there hadn't been curves before and had longer hair.

That had his eyes coming open and that had him realizing he'd turned into a girl. Again. All he could really do was laugh. The fucking island just couldn't leave him alone, not even when he was on vacation. At least he was hot. And he had boobs to play with.

When Alexander woke up that morning, he was doing so slowly, as if part of him wanted to cling to his time at the resort. But even with the slow, reluctant waking up, he could still tell that something was...off. It made him frown in his half-waking state until he thought he heard some rustling coming from the direction of his already packed luggage. He cracked open one eye.

"Maladic--"

He was going to comment on how he certainly hoped Maladicta hadn't been staked again, thus the need for her to get into his clothes (although why she couldn't get her own was beyond him), but he stopped at the sound of his voice.

"Why do I sound like a girl?"

Both eyes were closed and his back was against the mattress now because he was pretty sure he knew the answer to that question now.

Clark was dreaming of flying over giant snowy mountains, feeling his hair whipping around his face when he woke with a start and dropped two feet back onto the bed.

He thought he really needed to stop flying in his sleep. And landing hard on his chest because wow, was that an uncomfortable landing. He got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

There were no screams from Clark, but he might owe the hotel a new bathroom sink after the way he gripped the edge in surprise.

After the party, it wasn't likely that Tara would be up early. So when she did wake up, feeling a little odd, she rolled over onto her side and threw an arm over Kennedy.

She'd figure out why that didn't feel quite right either when she was a little more awake.

He sat up to throw a pillow at the wall -- and was stopped short by the graceful, slender curve of his arm, not to mention the softer curves visible below his pajama top.

He sat up on the bed, halfway panicked and halfway delighted by the new experience.

Quinn had a simple morning routine: Wake up, use the bathroom, put on exercise clothes and go to the gym before all the treadmills were claimed.

She only got one step into it before she ended up staring at the bathroom mirror in disbelief. "This doesn't happen!" she told her reflection. "People don't just -- wake up boys. Come on."

Ariel had woken up as usual, with a deep sigh for a good sleep and a great long stretch, and then she pulled back the covers to hop out of bed for another great day.

It was when she tried to actually get out of bed that she noticed anything different. As soon as both her feet touched the floor, she found her balance completely thrown and she fell to the floor with a hard thunk.

Learning how to walk with two legs had been tricky enough! But now with three...

The wave of anxiety, mixed with some amusement and resignation, awoke Raven. For a moment she didn't want to open her eyes, because experience had told her that strong feelings like this meant that something had happened to affect much of the school. Finally she cracked her eyes open and looked around the room, then down at herself.

"Oh, Azar, not again," she sighed.

Percy Jackson, late of New York and more recently of Fandom, was oblivious to his body's change as of yet. He was curled under his blankets, a lump of a boy (girl?) that wasn't ready to get out of the big, soft bed just yet.

Even if his mind was nagging at him, telling him something was off here, he was ignoring it. It wasn't a monster (he didn't think) so it could wait.

Jaina noticed simply enough. When she woke up, intending to get some gym time in before they left, all she had to do was sleepily rub a hand over her face. She'd woken up not as herself enough to know that when it didn't feel normal, something was wrong. Then she ran a hand into her hair, which was shorter, and part of her was seriously tempted to lift the covers to see what was there, but she didn't need to. Besides, the cursing she was doing now was most definitely not in her own voice.

At least she didn't have to run to the mirror to see what she looked like?

When Angua woke up and took a smell of the morning air and the distinct change of colour in her own familiar scent, she could only grunt and take a few minutes to refuse to get out of bed.

"Come on," she muttered. "We're not even on the island!"

At least everything else about her smelled the same, she had to be grateful for that, but it was going to take a lot of self-convincing to do anything more than just lie there in rebellion of what had happened. So much for her lucky streak...

So, when he woke up and everything was completely off about himself, it was a good thing.

Because he had a fair warning before slipping out of bed to stare at himself in the mirror. Him and his breasts. Huh.

Jason was trying to sleep as late as he could, to enjoy the hotel bed as much as possible before they had to go. That, of course, was before he tried to roll over, and let out a shriek as he woke up and looked down at himself. "Oh, for fuck's sake."
