Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

"She would not need to worry with my brother," Faramir said. "He has sworn to never marry and has no desire to be anyone's suitor. He likes his freedom and his blade too much for that."

There was a significant pause at that.

"By the heavens," he muttered, "they really would get along perfectly, then."

Faramir burst out laughing. It was still not very ladylike.

"He did," Faramir chuckled, "he even attempted to seduce Maladicta. Even if it only amused her. He was far too busy dragging me off to go hunting. Not that I minded, it was good to spend time with him."

Excuse Alexander a moment while he just about died laughing.

And he hadn't even heard anything after seduce Maladicta.

Eventually, he was able to breathe enough to give a slightly staggered apology to Faramir (for the most unladylike behavior), and then winced, clutching his stomach. "Ow."

"Do not forget to breath. Trust me, he did it with any girl he met," Faramir shook his head. "It is... not very common in my world for one to prefer their own gender."

"No, no," Alexander grinned, waving a hand. "I'm fine. I just have trouble even imagining it, that's all. Your brother is either a very brave man or a very dim one, and since I can only think the best of your line, Faramir, I must assume it to be the first."

"I do not know a braver man than my brother," Faramir agreed. "Even if he has some dim moments in his life. I do not think that was one of them, however, I can not blame him for the attempt."

It was quite possibly that they had... different views as Faramir knew Maladicta and the thought was still not unappealing to him. Even if he did not know how one would go about it. Being girl shaped might help...

"I am simply grateful that it did not end with my brother earning himself a black eye," Faramir said instead.

To which Alexander felt he could only respond in one way.

"I somehow doubt it would have been the eye Maladicta would have gone for..."

He'll never look at ham and eggs the same way ever again.
