Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

Percy tumbled backwards because he was completely off balance in this body. Despite being on the ground, that wasn't going to stop him from trying to kick Nico right in his girly stomach.

Maybe he'd throw up and cry like a giant girl.

Nico batted Percy's foot away, reaching down to grab for his stupid neck. A little strangulation wouldn't hurt a demigod permanently, right?

Hey, it wasn't like Percy was just going to let Nico do that. He immediately tried to swat his hands away and tried to claw at Nico's stupid girly face while doing so.

Claws to the face meant Percy and his crap-lousy hair were going down as Nico reached to get a fresh grip.

"Get off of me, Nico!" Percy shouted, trying desperately to keep Nico from getting his hands on his neck. "Go back to your hole and whine some more!"

Oh if they weren't in a building where he'd end up in trouble for screwing up the Mist, Nico would've built a hole for Percy. His hands dropped to fists at his side leaving Nico glaring at his cousin with fiery eyes. "You talk like you know things, but you don't have the first clue, Percy!

"What the hell are you talking about?" Percy asked, sitting up and staring a hole at Nico. "You started this random stupid fight, you giant girl. Now I'm an idiot for fighting back?"

"Yes!" And an idiot who might feel a special chill of death blasting into the air of the room as Nico failed to reign in his temper.

"I'm not gonna just sit here and take it," Percy snapped, glaring. "Why would you even think I'd do that?"

Percy didn't really care about the chill of death. He'd been close enough to death enough times to deal with it for a few moments.

"Your future," Nico snapped back, stalking over to his bag and grabbing out a fresh black shirt with vampire skulls on it to tug on over his pajamas. Like Percy was getting a free show.

"When did this turn into a fight about my future?" Percy asked, completely confused now. "You're not making any freaking sense, Nico. You started this fight and I'm not going to just let you beat me up because you're pissed."

As far as Nico was concerned, Percy was beyond stupid about everything. "It's not! Gods!" Nico yanked on a pair of jeans and headed for the door, not wanting to have to explain or put things into words when he was so frustrated with the world.

"Yeah, you run away and go sulk," Percy couldn't help saying. "I don't know what I did besides fight back so you go sulk and brood and do whatever it is you do."

For once, Percy really had no idea what was going on with all this. Nico had started a fight, he'd fought back so whatever. He was so over his moody cousins.
