Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

"There was some concern that I'd be loosing my trousers," Faramir admitted. "It seemed... safer."

There was a pause as he considered his mug and finally he looked up again, "I bought a dress."

"Did you now?" Oh, that was cheating.

Nothing was ever said about how he could not be girl.

"It seemed like the right opportunity," he frowned. "And the girl in the shop seemed to think I was a hopeless case. She did not like my tunic very much."

"You could have told her it was vintage. I find that shuts the shopkeepers up quickly enough."

It helped that she gave them looks as though they were ants.

"I do not know what that would mean," he admitted. "There is but one woman in my life and since she was born only this spring, she has yet to inform me of such matters as female clothes. For that matter, I am yet to see her."

"And now you can teach her all the things a girl ought to know." Like how to bludgeon a man to death with a blunt sword.

Faramir chuckled and shook his head. "I do not think I shall have a chance to discover it all."

The shower, however, had been most interesting.

...Maladicta would have agreed on that one.

"What did you want to experience as a woman then?"

"I have not thought much about it before," Faramir admitted with a frown. That was not entirely true, he had started to wonder, but...

"What would you recommend?"

"Go to the spa and be covered in sparkles? Since it's still vacation."

"You did not seem convinced of that when it happened to you," Faramir reasoned. "Perhaps without the sparkles."

He could not help it, this body responded differently and now he was wondering how the massage would be.

"Do you have any plans yourself? Aside from seducing one of the girls here?"

"It might have crossed my mind." A few dozen times. "I have to wonder if it would work on them when I'm female as well."

Ah, but there was the rub and Faramir took a moment to drink before he replied.

"Would it matter as you will not be here when you are yourself again."

"It would be lying if they didn't realize." And vampires had sooo many problems with lying. Really. "Would you seduce a man like this?"

"Assuming that I would be attracted to them?" Faramir asked, even if that was a confusing thought considering present company.

"No, you are right that it would not be honest."

"Though, there are plenty of attractive women who do know I'm not actually a man here." Yeeeeah.

Uh huh. It earned her a well curved, raised eyebrow. "And who are not really women either?" he guessed.

"Since most men from the school are now women, I think that's about right," Maladicta replied, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.

"And that would not bother you?" he asked.

Perhaps they needed to change the topic.

"As long as they know..." Maladicta frowned down into her now empty cup. "Would the lady like anything while I get more coffee?"

Oh yeah, someone was enjoying this.

Faramir blinked, the thought of coffee or any other drink strange for a moment.

"Another hot chocolate," he answered when his mind caught up.

Bowing low, Maladicta grinned. "Of course, m'lady."

Yeah, she was mean. But she came back with the drinks and what appeared to be a series of numbers on her cup. "I think one of them gave me a code."

It was a shame that kicking her under the table would have no influence.

"A code to what?" Faramir asked confused. He was perhaps frowning a little towards the counter, but that might have been coincidence.

"I'm not certain." People were lucky she managed to figure out the voicemail thing.

She placed the hot cocoa in front of Faramir before taking her seat once more.

"Thank you," he said absently, cradling the cup in his hands. "They're numbers. I would assume she'd wish for you to be able to find her later."
