Vail Ski Resort | Sunday Morning, 10/17

The Fandomites' last morning in Vail dawned cool and clear, the resort warm enough to get by with a light jacket, the slopes above frosty and crisp.

The portal back to Fandom would arrive after lunch, so now was time for packing, last-minute souvenir-shopping, or one final lift up the mountain to the wonderful land of snow-sports.

Or alternatively, freaking the heck out in your hotel room because Fandom knows no boundaries of distance or decency when it comes to attacking its current and former residents in their sleep to leave ladybits where manbits used to be, and manbits where... you get the picture.

So might the maid, if you forgot to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out.

"Now who needs to shut up?!" Nico exclaimed, flinging a pillow at Percy's new face. "What the gods' names is happening here?"

"Don't throw things at me, Nico!" Well, he assumed it was Nico. Percy had finally crawled out from under his blankets to blink blearily around the room. "What makes you think I know what's going on? Is Olympus punishing us?"

Nico was kneeling on his bed, hands crabbily going to his hips in a move that he failed to realize was a bit girly for his current predicament. "Hmm, let's think about that one for a minute. Huh, I woke up with tits in a room with Percy Jackson. Yeah, I think I'm being punished."

"Gods, waking up a girl made you bitchy," Percy griped, glaring angrily in Nico's direction and trying not to laugh at the super feminine pose. "You're not the only one this happened to, Nico. You do realize that, right?"

"Fine we're being punished," he said, flopping back on his heels and getting a look at his less-than-average rack, hair falling in his face. Hopefully he wouldn't see his Bianca-like face in the mirror anytime soon.

"What did we do wrong?" he groaned, resisting the urge to bury his head under the pillows. "We're demigods, we're the universal whipping boys of the galaxy. This is ridiculous."

And he was such a whiner.

"We exist," Nico groaned, blowing his hair out of his eyes. "Hey, bright side? Bet Luke's a girl, too!" That made him feel just a bit better.

"Oh, I hope this is a first for him so he freaks out too," Percy said, a little less grouchily with the thought of Luke as a girl. "If I didn't think Annabeth would freak out, I'd try and take a picture of him and send it to her."

"And then you'd have to share how you looked with long hair, too." Because Annabeth wouldn't just stop with freaking over Luke.

"No, I'd wait till I...change back -- "

That had to happen, right?

" -- and then I'd lie about it. There's no way I'm telling her about me. No way."

Nico didn't bother trying not to smirk. "Oh man, I bet my Annabeth would like to see it!"

"No, she wouldn't!" Percy said, shaking his head. "She wouldn't like to see anything and she's not going to see it either. I'll figure out a way to tell your dad that this happened if she somehow finds out."

"My dad always finds out things to embarrass me with, it's a god rule or something," Nico replied, deciding he didn't care. "It could be worth it..." Tormenting his own Percy and all.

"No." Not that Percy thought Nico would necessarily listen to him. "How about we just keep this...situation on the island? Does your dad really need to know that you're about eighty times more feminine than usual?"

"I am not!" Nico crossed his arms in front of him...it was really unfortunately girly.

"Yeah, you're a total girly girl," Percy said, ignoring how girly and high his laugh sounded. "You're like a daughter of Aphrodite!"

Nico flung his second pillow at Percy's big, stupid girl head. "Take that back, daughter of Hera!" Such an insult.

"Quit throwing pillows at me!" Percy griped, unable to dodge that pillow. It meant he had to get all that stupid long hair out of his face before he could retaliate.

"Why don't you go join Artemis and her hunters?" Percy asked, flinging the pillow back. "Only girls like you can join!"

"I'm too old, troll-brain," Nico bitched back, catching the pillow and jumping off the bed to lob it at Percy's head from a closer vantage.

"I'm not surprised to hear you've thought about it," Percy said, ducking this time and grabbing the pillow so he could whip it back at Nico. "I knew you were a true girl."

"Don't make me break your pretty face," Nico warned, smacking the pillow back at Percy but keeping a hold of it this time.

"I thought you'd be afraid to break a nail," Percy taunted, smirking. "Since you're a giant girl and all."

Yeah, the taunting didn't stop Nico from smacking at Percy with his open hand.

Apparently now he fought like a girl, too.

Okay, Percy hadn't expected Nico to bitchslap so when that actually connected, he just stared for a few seconds. And then he was reaching out to try and smack Nico back.

His cheek blazed with the sting of the slap but Nico didn't back down, reaching to grab hold of Percy's hair by the roots.
